With the ending of the FACEIT Stage 3 Oceania qualifier, the total team list for the third stage of FACEIT's 2015 League is now complete. While today has been a today chock full of massive news breaks in terms of lineup changes at the highest echelons of Counter-Strike, some may not have noticed that yesterday saw four Australian teams battling it out in a duel for the two final spots in FACEIT's third season of the 2015 League. With familiar Australian brands such as TRIDENT, Molotov, and chiefly, Vox Eminor, falling out in the quarter-finals of the FACEIT S3 Oceania Closed Qualifier, the semifinals saw the following four teams compete for the two spots: Chiefs, Control.VP, Animal Squad, and Athletico.
Proving that the skill ceiling across Australia's teams is closely contested, both games were not whitewashes. Ultimately, Animal Squad prevailed over Athletico 2-0 (with one game going into overtime), and Chiefs beat Control.VP in a 2-1 battle.
